American Whiskey

American Whiskey

Whisky was brought to America by Scottish and Irish pioneers in the late 18th century and, because of different ingredients and conditions, resulted in an entirely different product than the original. A hundred years later, the whiskey trade had already become well developed across America – even some of the country’s Founding Fathers held liquor licences and participated in the industry.

Over the years, it has survived wars, levy taxes, as well as the prohibition – to this day, it remains an integral part of American identity and a drink of choice for enthusiasts in the U.S. and abroad.
